Scenes From the Antique & Classic Bicycle Expo

On Sunday, July 1st, the Hoosier Antique and Classic Bicycle Club, formed in 1990 by a group of bicycle enthusiasts interested in collecting, restoring and preserving antique bicycles, brought lots of classic and antique bikes for display and demonstration in downtown Lafayette.

In this video Stewart Frescas describes how to mount an antique bike, sometimes known as a Penny-farthing.

Below, Lafayette Area residents discover the beauty of antique bicycles thanks to this event hosted by the Tippecanoe County Historical Association.

This was a fun event, with lots of historical bicycles and knowledgable interpreters. The photos and video capture it well.
